    Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

Cardinal Fuzz and Little Cloud Records are proud to present a long awaited vinyl re-issue of the long out of print cult neo-psych classic that is ‘Drone Head’ by The Janitors.
Fueled by folköl and an uncontrollable urge to hiss and make noise the Janitors went into their own studio Psych grottan and during 2012 gave birth to two Ep’s, a couple of singles and remixes and a lot of raised eyebrows from audiences and blogs from all over the world. The shamanic psychedelic trance of darkness and drone of the The Worker Drone Queen and Head Honcho Ep’s ended up on more than a few end of years best offs back in 2012 and since then the cult over this record has grown and grown. The recordings eventually found their way into the hands of Cardinal Fuzz who on the spot decided to release the whole shebang on a glorious 2x12" gatefold vinyl. Also exclusive to this release are the Al Lover remix of "Death Song" and Strssmnt remix of Coming Down + a brand new track "Nevereverism". The Janitors give love to noise, monotony and pop songs and mainly consist of two people in love with the darker side of the 80´s with heroes like Loop, Spacemen 3 and JAMC.  We call what we do stökpsych or evil shoegaze boogie woogie, you decide for yourself.
This reissue of ‘Drone Head’ is presented in a luxurious 350gsm gloss laminated gatefold sleeve with Side A/B as Beer Coloured Vinyl and side C/D as Weed coloured vinyl. Download Code included and maybe with a nice bonus if The Janitors can find something...

    PRESS

The Janitors are bringing slow burn, fuzzed out desert rock psychedelia and they are bringing it BIG! "Drone Head" is top-notch spacerock/shoegaze/psychrock from start to finish." Permanent Records

"the songs are surprisingly varied, they’re woven into a fantastically druggy and tranced out, psychedelic whole, one that definitely ranks as one of our favorite spaced out heavy garage psych releases in recent memory." Aquarius Records (rip)

"It’s an absolutely mesmerizing affair, and hopefully you weren’t expecting anything less from these Stockholm psych-outs" Styrofoam Drone

"Only those with an interest in the heaviest of heavy psych need apply - this is not music for the faint of heart, but those with a love of evil drone and heavy garage clamor will be totally in their element." Active listener

“By the time all hell breaks loose and the band’s full-on aural assault strikes us between the ears with ravishing slices of barbed wire fuzz… well, you just ain’t heard nothing like this in a long while.” It´s psychedelic Baby!

"A-Bow is a glorious, and gloriously ambitious, piece of blues stomp with more depth and space than most music in this tradition. . This is slow-burn scuzz rock with a vengeance.” Drug punk!

Head Honcho is voted best EP of 2012 by Tally Ho

"when the wah-pedal flourishes scream louder than the unholy hounds of hell and manage to scrape the very back edges of your skull, that we realized that this is no mere job for The Janitors – this is their distorted destiny” Revolt Of The Apes

“The showstopper has hit early on and Do It Again rips right into the fabric of the desert road. It´s a pure 6 minute masterpiece of bass driven, sun scorched psychedelia."  Foxy Digitalis

"shoegaze-psych bubbles and pops in a smoking cauldron, swirling around endlessly in a violent motion just like the haunting, repetitive nature of each of their songs." Styrofoam drone

"Five tracks of pure pineal extract! This stuff is propellant for journeys to the depths of your brain circuitry.” Trip inside this house
