Addicted to weird records and wicked writers, DIY enthusiasts and excited about sonic explorations, Firefriend started recording their own songs in 2016 and have since released 6 albums: NEGATIVE SUN (2016), THE BLACK HOLE EP (2017), SULFUR ( 2018), YELLOW SPIDER (2018), AVALANCHE (2019) and now DEAD ICONS.
  
  Firefriend are part of the underground resistance (this is truer today in Brazil) and you can feel the slow burn nihilistic Fuzz and Menace that seeps through every track on Dead Icons. A brooding magnum opus as Firefriend pull the threads that links the great subversive bands of the 60's through into the 00’s. Their sound doesn't rush to the pop hook or stall itself in the crunchy riffs, there's a slow sense of forward motion that winds through the songs, like a traveller on horseback entering town; like a cloud of dust swirling along the road; like a snake uncoiling and moving out of the shadows. It glides above everything else in its own orbit , echoing the best parts of psychedelic, shoegaze, and noise to create an aural document of the Nihilistic storm that is part of living in the 21st century.
